MWPolitical Privacy Policy (updated 2022)

This privacy policy describes how MWPolitical Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when you use our websites, mobile applications, software, subscriptions, SMS text messaging platform (the "SMS Platform"), and/or other goods or services ("Services"). We protect your privacy. If we request personally identifiable information from you on this website, we will use it solely in line with this privacy policy, as amended from time to time. Our Terms of Use, Acceptable Usage Policy, and other policies must be followed.

Web, App, and Service Links

Our Services may link to third-party websites, applications, and services of interest. After you leave our site via these links, we have no control over third-party services. So, this privacy statement does not apply to such sites and services, and we are not responsible for their protection of privacy. Be cautious and read the privacy statements of third-party sites and services.

Data Collection

We record your interactions with us. Information about you may include:

registration-related information (such as name, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, occupation, and information imported from social log in permissions provided to us); information about the Services you use, how often you use them, and your reactions to our offers and ads;

metadata we collect from or about any message(s) received over our SMS Platform, including phone numbers each message was sent to and from; information about the searches you do on our websites or in our other Services and how you utilize the results of such searches;

transaction-related information (such as credit card or other preferred means of payment, billing information, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and/or a history of purchases through our Services); customer service information about you as a user of our Services; location data; information about any devices, connections, and methods used to access and interact with us; and other information specifically related to your use of Services, including We collect personal information from all Service end users' communications, including text messages, faxes, phone calls, and "snail mail," as well as from third-party outside sources like database vendors. Usage Data may be anonymous when collected, but it could be used to indirectly identify a person.

Your phone number may be collected in these ways:

We gather your phone number when you send a keyword to a Short Code (if applicable) or call or text a Long Code handled by one of our customers.

When a customer links their database to us, we acquire your phone number if you have already given it to them.

Your information may be augmented with other firms' publicly accessible, household, and other data.

We may add:

Data you sent using our Short Code Service (if applicable). When texting one of our customers' keywords on our Short Code, it may automatically ask for your zip code. We'll connect you to our nearest customer representative or agent if you offer a zip code.

During a peer-to-peer interaction, our consumer manually inputs data. For instance, our client may ask you for your name via a text message (or voice call, if appropriate) and then type your name into their contacts along with your phone number.

Data gathered from 3rd parties by matching your email, phone number, or other information submitted to us by you or our client. We may employ a third-party provider to decide which phone numbers can be texted when a client submits a list of their contacts (i.e. which numbers belong to cell phones and which belong to landlines).

Usage metrics from the SMS Platform or other Services. For instance, we may monitor and show a customer your previous message.

Our customer's database automatically sends us information. For instance, if you joined up on one of our clients' websites and supplied your name and phone number, we would retain your name and show it to our customer at relevant times (e.g. in our text messaging app used by customers).

When you use our Services, we may get technical information. This may include your browser or operating system, your method of connecting to the Internet, and the name of your Internet service provider or wireless carrier; your Internet protocol (IP) address; information about referring websites or services (websites or services you used immediately prior to using our websites or other Services); exiting websites or services (immediately after using our website or other Services); and data relating to malfunctions or problems. We may also gather information about other software on your device for security or online experience purposes.

Several web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" function that tells websites and Services not to track your online behavior. It's impossible to comply with every "Do Not Track" request since browsers send them differently. At this time, we do not reply to or honor "Do Not Track" signals to avoid browser-Service communication errors. As browser-website communication improves, we may reassess our ability to heed "Do Not Track" signals and adjust our policy.

We don't examine SMS messages received using the SMS Platform, therefore you're responsible for their legality and compliance with our Conditions of Use and Acceptable Usage Policy. Unless disclosed to you or required by law or for spam control, we do not automatically scan the content of your peer-to-peer communications received over the SMS Platform to use it for targeted contextual advertising or to profile you.
